Located just 80 km from Jaipur, Sambhar Lake is the largest saltwater lake in India — a vast white plain that turns otherworldly under moonlight and starlight. The lake bed stretches across the horizon, creating a surreal, flat canvas where light and sky merge.

In December, the dry season makes conditions ideal: cloudless skies, zero humidity, and no light pollution. It’s one of the best natural amphitheaters in the country to experience a meteor shower in total darkness.
