Are you passionate about astronomy and space science? Do you dream of sharing the wonders of the universe with others? Starscapes is looking for enthusiastic Starguides to lead our astronomy observation programs, educational sessions, and outreach initiatives.
This role is perfect for science enthusiasts, educators, and communicators eager to inspire curiosity and promote dark sky conservation and space education.
Key Responsibilities
- Astronomy Observation & Training – Conduct stargazing sessions, operate telescopes, and train visitors in night sky navigation.
- Program Planning & Delivery – Organize astronomy-based events, workshops, and interactive sessions.
- Public Engagement & Media Representation – Participate in interviews, talk shows, and publish articles on astronomy and space science.
- Reporting & Documentation – Maintain reports of programs and sessions.
- Outreach & Advocacy – Help in popularizing astronomy and dark sky conservation through public events.
- Continuous Learning – Stay updated with the latest in astronomy, space science, and equipment handling.
Who We Are Looking For
- Science or Engineering Graduates
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent Communication & PR Skills
- Confident, Goal-Oriented, and a Team Player
- Passionate about Astronomy & STEM Education
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Teaching experience
- Hands-on experience with telescopes and astrophotography
- Experience in Observational Astronomy & STEM education
Job Perks & Benefits
- CTC: ₹3,50,000 per annum
- In-hand Salary: ₹15,000/month (plus accommodation, food, and local transport provided)
