Astronomy

Astronomy is at the heart of Nakshatra Sabha, and the Takula event offers a rich cosmic experience. Using Starscapes’ advanced telescopic equipment, participants will explore a range of celestial wonders in the winter sky. Our telescopes provide crystal-clear views of deep-sky objects, star clusters, and planets.

Visible to the naked eye as a faint smudge, this spiral galaxy becomes a breathtaking sight through our telescopes, allowing participants to glimpse its structure and surrounding star clusters.

The waxing gibbous phase during the event offers an ideal time for lunar observation. With our high-definition eyepieces and filters, participants can explore its craters, valleys, and mountain ranges in stunning detail.

One of the most spectacular sights in the winter sky, the Orion Nebula (M42) will be visible in the constellation Orion, offering a dazzling view of this stellar nursery.

Our Starguides will introduce attendees to the Winter Hexagon, a prominent asterism formed by six bright stars, including Sirius, Capella, and Aldebaran.

Under the guidance of Starscapes’ skilled Starguides, participants will learn to navigate the winter sky, identify constellations, and understand their mythological and cultural significance. Starguides will provide an in-depth explanation of how to use star maps and celestial coordinates for locating objects in the sky, enhancing the participants’ knowledge and stargazing skills. For those interested in astrophotography, our experts will conduct specialized workshops, offering tips on capturing stunning images of the Andromeda Galaxy, the Moon, and other celestial phenomena.

This comprehensive astronomy experience, combined with the magical setting of Takula, promises an enriching weekend that will deepen your connection to the stars.
